OVERVIEW

SUGIH needed a public site with its history, product catalogue, news and careers, and a way for its own staff to keep that content up to date. We built the site in Laravel 11 with Blade and Tailwind, and wrote the admin panel ourselves: the client edits products, articles and job openings, reorders products by dragging them, and attaches sub-items to each product. Because it is a tobacco brand, every page opens behind the 21+ notice that Indonesian rules require. The site runs on Postgres in Supabase and is deployed on Vercel.

WHAT I DID

  • An admin panel built by hand: full CRUD over products, articles and careers, drag-and-drop product ordering persisted to a sort column, and per-product sub-items.
  • The public site is a motion piece — Swiper carousels, GSAP with Lenis for smooth scrolling, AOS on scroll, SplitType on headings and Atropos for 3D tilt — held together by Alpine rather than a frontend framework.
  • A 21+ excise warning gates the whole site, as Indonesian rules for tobacco products require.
  • Postgres on Supabase over SSL, deployed serverless on Vercel instead of a conventional PHP host.
